THE ANSWER TO BETTER PROTECT YOUR TEENAGERS..
St. Cloud, Minnesota has a rising human trafficking problem and the local schools do not require trafficking education in their curriculum leaving teenagers without the proficiency to better protect themselves and be aware of the threats in their community.

This problem is cause by school administration not wanting to talk about the topic, there aren't any laws about requiring HT awareness, and television/media gives off misconceptions and false information.
[ THE HARMS ]
No trafficking is harmful because students are the prime victims and they aren't prepared, local authorities wont have a lot of help from the community, and this will continue for future generations.
[ THE BENEFITS ]
The benefits of fixing this problem include better education for students as well as teachers because they will learn how to see signs and what to do, and students will learn how to protect themselves and others.
I never really thought that human trafficking happens here in St. Cloud. I thought it only happens in really big cities like St. Paul or Minneapolis. I also feel like its very rare.

The only thing I know about human trafficking is from TV. One of my favorite shows is Law & Order SVU so how the TV show depicts trafficking is how I think it happens.
